The Traffic Injury Research Foundation (TIRF) and the Centre for Responsible Drinking are pleased to co-host the Drinking and Driving Symposium 2012 in Ottawa, Ontario on May 17th at the Sheraton Ottawa Hotel.
The Symposium’s goal is to highlight the range of strategies used in Canada to manage drunk driving as well as to explore lessons learned from the implementation of a wide range of interventions. Speakers will be sharing experiences drawn from private, public and community approaches to increase awareness of the risks and change driver behaviours.
Speakers include leading academics in the fields of driver behaviour, members of law enforcement, educators, legal experts and legislative experts. Sessions will include panel presentations and discussion groups. It is the organizers’ hope that from these discussions important priorities moving forward will be identified.
An exhibit and technology showcase will close out the day.
A preliminary program is now available online.
