Active Projects
In support of our mission to reduce the road crash problem, the Traffic Injury Research Foundation (TIRF) undertakes nearly two dozen research projects each year.
Projects currently in progress or recently completed at the Foundation are listed below. For each project we provide a title, the sponsoring/funding agency and a brief description of the purpose and method. The projects are grouped under the headings, bicycles, drinking and driving, drugs and driving, elderly drivers, trends and statistics, women drivers, and young and novice drivers.
